"The Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini

 Set in Afghanistan, this novel explores themes of friendship, betrayal, and redemption, providing a  window into Afghan culture and history.

"Americanah" by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

 A powerful story of love, race, and identity that spans Nigeria, the UK, and the USA, exploring the   nuances of immigration and the search for one's place in the world.
